It’s like a thunderstorm out there now. I can’t tell you how happy I am that it’s raining because the weather is so HOT!

Anyway, it’s Halloween! And it isn’t a really big thing here for kids since it’ll be the young adults that would be heading to the clubs for the different spooky dance nights

I remember back when I was working at Loof, Halloween night meant being slammed for that short period of time when party-goers from the Halloween Bus arrived for their free drinks and whatnot.

Anyway, it was Zayden Asher’s and my doctors appointments yesterday and from the time he was born till now, he has gained 1.76 k.g. and grew 6 c.m.! No wonder my arms were aching when I was carrying him throughout the journey to the hospital (including the time spent standing and waiting for a cab).

My doctor checked me up and said I was fine. Then Zayden’s doctor checked him up and said he was growing well. So folks, mother and baby are fine

I should get ready soon since I’ll be meeting my teammates for dinner later.

So the 7ners celebrated our October babies’ birthdays on Saturday at Oriole. It was the first time in a really long while that we met up on a weekend because back then someone was either busy with her significant other or with work or just isn’t free. It was also the first time in a rather long while that we ended up cam-whoring outside the cafe and bar

Dinner was rather fair. The food tasted good but the portions were rather small for the price we paid. But the chocolate cake was a to-die-for. It was made with really rich and good quality chocolate and if I wasn’t on a budget, I would have ordered another just for myself so I could relish every single bite

As I mentioned that the food portions were small, dinner ended pretty early so we just sat, chilled and talked. And before we went our separate ways…

Can someone tell me what “by the hand of Thor” means?

Firstly, Happy 24th Birthday Pei Wen! I’m sure you had awesome gifts. If not, wait till Saturday for your awesome gift and celebration!

Sunday was a pretty awesome day because friends and relatives finally got to meet Zayden Asher!

He was a sociable baby, not crying while he was being passed from a pair of arms to another. He wasn’t the only baby there though. I finally got to meet Cheyenne! Though she was exactly a month older than Zayden, the difference in their sizes was quite big. Plus, she has these huge pretty eyes. They were bigger than bambi-eyes

As I was busy running between groups of friends and relatives, I did not manage to take much photos

Everyone said Zayden was really cute. Guan and I couldn’t agree any less Since it was a special occasion, he was wearing his new Threadless onesie, (I love this design but my size ran out of stock.) and Guan and I wore our Missing!!! tee.

My (New) Family Portrait

The love of my life with the love of our lives

If anyone remembered the last post where I mentioned I was to attend my cousin’s daughter’s first month celebrations, I should say that I failed to do so because on that day, Zayden Asher was born

So that makes him exactly a month younger than his second cousin, Cheyenne. Which also makes him exactly one month older than Li Jiawei’s son.

Anyway, on a random note, tomorrow’s the day where my relatives will see their new addition to the family!

Today marks the end of my month-long (really, it felt like months) confinement period because…

… Zayden Asher is one month old!

So far, my parents and siblings commented that he grew chubbier, heavier and longer. But since I see him every time, I only could tell he was longer because when I place him in the same position in the cot, his feet can hit the sides if he kicks hard.

I found my own newborn photos and realized that he probably looked like me when I was still in the hospital because subsequent photographs showed that he look rather different from me.

No big celebration today. In fact, Guan and I were supposed to bring Zayden over to my old home but he came home late from camp and we’re both totally exhausted. (That’s why once I click “Publish”, I’m going to hit the sack before Zayden’s next feeding time.) But, my parents will be having a celebration later this week so for those who are coming over, (with red packets or gifts, I hope Kidding!) be excited to meet him!

A little note to those who actually plan to bring diapers: No Drypers and no newborn size. He’s quite a big baby

Guan and I finally registered his birth!

As most of you know, the delay was due to the fact that we had trouble coming up with a name since we eliminated a lot of names suggested. And when we finally came out with one, we were shot down by my mom But I went on to find a meaning behind the name and it was good so hey-ho! His names are awesome!
