Drinking is Love (once again)

After the last time I went drinking (and when I say drinking, I meant drink a lot), I have been refraining from drinks altogether. However, after the last drinking session, I drank for another three days straight.

I drank on Saturday because I was down. And, apparently, a childhood friend was down as well. So I offered to drink with him on Sunday night.

We went cheap drinking by meeting near Bedok Reservoir and purchased beer, ice and some snacks at the supermarket before making our way up to the top of the multi-storey carpark.

It was nice, just sitting at the top, talking and sharing every other moment :)

Last night, on a rather last minute note, I met up with Sam, a primary school classmate of mine. I suggested drinking (again!) and so we had beer and martinis

A random picture of Jonathan Tay drinking at my workplace last Friday as the guys came over to celebrate Jon’s 23rd :)

I have another picture of Jonathan Ang and myself but I look super retarded and Jon Ang looks super act cute. Plus, it was a rather drunk Jon Tay that took the picture :?

On a random note, I went to the hairdresser’s last night and I like my shorter, thinner and straighter hair right now! :D

holding your beer

I was working on Sunday night when Charlene texted, asking me to head over to Mervin’s birthday chalet after my shift. I was hestitant to join since I did not know Mervin that well (besides that one drinking session with a few others) so I asked if I was invited.

She replied with his text invitation (which he massed texted to those he invited) and I replied, asking in a joking manner I was invited by him or she had forced him to  Well, I went down to the chalet anyway.

I arrived just as Mervin was about to put out the BBQ pit. He cooked me some really tasty meat as well as a couple of hot dogs as Charlene introduced me to the small group that was hanging around, drinking and gambling. There was his wife, JD and his girlfriend, Morris, other ex-NAB staff and their girlfriends…

After clearing up, Mervin, Charlene, Morris and I sat down and started playing card games. Loser drinks the cup of beer. We could go a round and either pour more beer into the cup or pour out the beer. Morris kept getting the smallest card and kept putting off drinking the beer until there were four cups in front of him. I think out of the 13 rounds we played, he lost like, nine rounds? And we all helped him with his beer  But apparently it was still too much for him and he puked later on :?

Even though it was not a big thing, it felt nice and I enjoyed myself :)

Juno

More than a week without internet connection is really awful. Thus, the reason why I have not been online lately :(

Anyway, I have much to blog but since it has passed (and it was rather long ago), why bother? :) Anyway, I have a brand-spankin’ new Sony DSC T300. And, as Sabrina (from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) would go: “WHOO HOO!”

(You have to forgive me. I have been watching seasons 2 to 6 whenever I did not feel like doing anything this holiday.)

Before I forget, Happy Birthday Shane! I know you’re an old man but that’s still no reason to carry on living like one :P You’re a really cool dude with a great temper and a fun person to be with. Your laughter is like, darn unique and I can always hear you at the other end of the bar  Cheers, dude! (And it’s not like you’ll ever read this anyway.)

Back to the topic: Juno.

When I wiki-ed that, I got a Roman goddess and my birth month. But what I really wanted to find was this:
Juno

Yeah, I know. It took me forever to find time to go to a theatre just to catch a movie. What more everyone else I knew had already caught it and people who have not are not into dramady and those who have not just do not have the time to. I know, how sad can I be?

So, anyway, I just like the note Juno gave to Vanessa:

Vanessa
If you’re still in, I’m still in.
Juno

And so that’s where “Anyone Else but You” by The Moldy Peaches got featured in. I love that song when I found it off some random blog a couple of months back.

You’re a part time lover and a full time friend
The monkey on you’re back is the latest trend
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

You are always trying to keep it real
I’m in love with how you feel
I don’t see what anyone can see, in anyone else
But you

Happy Birthday Jo!

I wanted to do an entry on my first time cutting up a whole papaya, but, of course, Jo is always more important than an overripe fruit

Happy 23rd Birthday to you dear Jo! We love you always! (Even though we still know that you cannot cut a square cake.)

We had dinner at Miss Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant in Bugis. I had my all-time favourite: Grilled Chicken and Spring Rolls Vermicelli. However, it was not very nice as I have tasted better ones :(

I think that every year, as we grow a year older, we have to become more mature. So that means no loud birthday song singing and not much camwhoring :(

Jo, her cake and five candles'
Her cake only had two big and two small candles. So we made her hold the last small candle :D

Xavier likes to hold his gas

Only because he finds it embarrassing to fart out loud. HAHA!

Anyway, Happy Birthday to you! It is nice finding another fellow slacker in this competitive world that we live in. Oh! Not to mention a fellow bottle collector as well. Next time, we got to collect bottles that actually have alcohol inside them, eh? :) I don’t know why I bother saying it here since you’ll never read it. HAHA!

High on nuggets

The Sunday before, we were two clowns dressed alike (black pants/skinny jeans, Hollister Co. tees, sneakers and sling bags). It was so amusing we stayed out all night and Weili did crazy stuff. Check it out:

Last Sunday, we were five idiots gorging on 80 pieces of chicken nuggets (with curry sauce!) from MacDonald’s. My colleagues and I actually got high on them  Not to mention our stomachs felt like bursting. It is going to be amusing whether they will continue eating nuggets this Sunday. I won’t be joining them though :(

Anyway, it’s birthday time!

Happy 24th Birthday Jun Wei Sweet!

I guess you don’t want to take pictures with your candle or me anymore :( But it’s okay! You’ve got a spankin’ nice gift :D (Yeah, it is so hot it burnt 87346589 holes in my pocket. Ha!)

Happy 20th Birthday Joel di!

So you’re older once again

Let’s see here. I am still waiting for the photos from the Canoe Polo 3-on-3 Challenge. How was it? Tiring. Try competing eight matches overnight. I described my injuries to my friend and the response I got was, “Sounds like you’ve been to a war.” :?

So I shall post a couple of pictures of Jolene and I at MoS with Rey and her coursemates :D
