Sooo… I saw this on Rachel’s blog and decided to do it too
1. When do you feel happiest?
When I get what I want! Haha… Not really. When I feel loved, doing what I love, and loving those around me.
2. How do you take care of yourself?
I’m terrible at this. I snack most of the time and forget my meals sometimes. I guess I am trying to stay positive with the right mindset.
3. Are you internally (by yourself) or externally (by others) motivated?
I believe I need to be externally motivated. But, ultimately, I’m still internally motivated. I have to convince myself to do things then things get done :?
4. What do you do for fun?
I find this a rather tough question now because I can’t find the time to enjoy anything fun! But I love photography, cable-skiing and getting crafty
5. What intimidates you?
Social gatherings where I’ll usually feel awkward among strangers and second degree acquaintances.
6. What is something you’re proud of?
Getting my diploma. It’s weird but I had always thought that I wouldn’t complete my studies in that way
7. Finish this sentence. I never _____________
ate durian before.
8. Favorite vacation spot.
I’ve only been to Malaysia and Batam. Neither of which are my favourite. I can’t wait to have the chance to go New York City or Hawaii though. Surf’s up!
9. Today is a (rate from 1 – 10).
7. Zayden Asher was pretty cranky in the morning and my arm is aching because I had to carry him around central to get some package posted. He’s napping away now (that’s why I’m doing this!)
10. Finish this sentence. If you knew me really well you’d know _____________
that underneath this bright sunshine personality of mine, I’m pretty dark and twisty (at times) inside.
(Seriously, how can you not melt with that smile of his?)
I just wanted to blog that
Well, and also to say that I’ve been really occupied lately and that I’ll be back soon!
So I was going through my Google Reader when I came across this awesome tutorial by Elsie and now, I really want to sew something up for Zayden Asher
I even did a sketch and I really can’t wait to start!
But I don’t have a sewing machine. Nor do I have any sewing needles/threads. And I still have to go through nice clothing that I don’t want anymore. And with the little time I have, I don’t know if I can make one any time soon
Anyway, if you’re wondering about the title, yes, I was coming to that. The original title of this post was actually “itching to do some sewing” but after I wanted to post the sketch of the plushie, I was debating taking a photo (of the sketch) with my iPhone or my digital camera or Guan’s DSLR when I rethought about it since it is really troublesome to keep uploading the photos.
And then, it struck me: Photo Booth!
And then I started playing around with the effects and had a mini-photoshoot
(I know, I should’ve stopped at “The Sketch” but it’s so fun I decided to share the rest even though I look super unglamorous.)
Messy hair + weird face = caught dead seen in public
The Mirror Effect
The Bulge Effect (Hey! I look like Jackie Chan! LOL!)
The Dent Effect
The Twirl Effect
The Glow Effect (Ooh, I actually look decent here!)
Oh, look! Zayden got up from his nap and just had his feed
(Teeheehee. I couldn’t help it.)
Okay, gotta run. He’s fussing now
I am terrible at keeping my resolutions, eh? :?
Anyway, just a quick post to say I’m alive and kicking! Just got caught up with life and all that so it’s rather hard to sit down and do a proper blog entry. I’ve got some creative stuff to upload to the crafty blog and I’ve barely done so
I need a new anti-spam plugin for WordPress since Spam Karma is now not really updated Any recommendations?
Anyway, a random photo of Zayden Asher. (Bet you’ve missed him *wink*)
So I wrote this whole entry on my iPhone only to have it gone because I tried posting in the lift. Arg! Lesson learnt though. I hope I remember what I posted.
So I am on my way to the local scrapbook store in the train when my random wanderings began.
For those who don’t know me well, my train of random thoughts can lead from my mother to basketball to cheese to the moon all within minutes. Rey can confirm that when he witnessed it.
So I saw this girl wearing plaid and I thought to myself, I’m wearing a striped polo tee. But I didn’t like how big my arms looked in this rather feminine top (it was a ladies’ cut) which made think of all the gym trainings I did for a couple of years when I was still in the canoe polo team. Which led me to think about going to the neighbourhood gym, paying $2.50 per entry compared to California Fitness where I’ll have to fork out a hefty $600 odd per month and I’ll have to take a train to the nearest outlet. And then I thought about how self-conscious I would be because I always felt like people will look at me oddly if I were in a gym. Which led to the gym-attire–team jersey and FBTs. Which reminded me that I ought to get a new pair of FBT shorts as the current one is rather loose due to it being worn for every training since mid 2006!
What broke me out of the long three minute random thinking was this couple in front of me.
They looked like they’re in their mid-twenties and the conversation was about the girl telling her boyfriend what to say to ask for a job vacancy.
I wasn’t eavesdropping since I noticed her becase she was talking so loudly on the phone earlier. And furthermore, they were only less than half a metre away from me (the train was quite crowded).
I was quite amused because the guy looked hesitant and unsure as to what to say or how to ask for a job.
Which made me think about Guan. He hates looking for jobs and I, like the girl, had to teach my other half how to ask for a job as well as what to ask during the interview.
I don’t mean to sound conceited but I don’t really recall anyone teaching me how to ask for a job or what to say during an interview. Aside from those weird etiquette classes back in secondary school, I guess I learn how to on my own and, perhaps, through experience.
Oh, well. And these are my random wanderings
