The Legend of the Condor Heroes The Legend of the Condor Heroes (1983 TVB Production) will always be my all-time favourite sword-fighting show. Ever 😀 When I saw that the DVD was on sale at YesAsia, I told myself that I was so gonna get it. Well, once I figure out how to fork out SG$100 first 😕 Anyway, if you’re bored with nothing to do and you love sword-fighting shows as much as I do, maybe you would like to read up on The Legend of the Condor Heroes 😆

National Champs are finally over. After this week’s break, we are so going to train hard for SRRR08! 🙂 Artello! Let’s all jia you together! 😀

Well, two days of matches are over. So are four of our games. I guess you could say it’s good and bad.

We played with Devlin 2 on our first match on Saturday. Jolene and I were saying that if we lose this match, we might as well quit canoe polo or something since Team Devlin consists of juniors from NP.

We won 5-0 but we played quite a bad game. We made many bad passes, missed a few open shots and did not give our 100%. The next two matches of the day made us more demoralized. Our second match was an IVP match against TP and of all referees, we had a referee who did a bad ref job in one of our matches in SRRR.

We lost 1-5 and most of us were pretty down. When it was time for our last match of the day, it was pretty hard to carry on fighting since we were up against TP Munchies who is an alumni team.

We lost 0-10 and I felt rather lousy when they scored their 10th goal because it was like SRRR all over again because back then, during the final minute or so, one of them yelled to make their score a double digit. When they were still at their 9th goal, I told myself I wasn’t going to let them score another. That’s why I still managed to block two of their shots. But I guess it’s meant to be another event where history repeats itself.

Stanley was lecturing us the same way he lectured us in SRRR. And it was right after the match with the same team. But I guess we could all feel that there wasn’t any bond nor chemistry between all of us and that was what I was quite disappointed in.

So we talked things out, said how we felt about everything and encouraged each other to give our best for Sunday.

Sunday’s match against NUS was a should-draw-but-try-to-win match since they are a team that has more experience than us. But by the 6th minute into the first half when we managed to score a goal, it became a should-win match instead. But I guess it wasn’t really meant to be when I let their goal in 😡 I need to bring home Daren’s paddle and practice at home or something.

Anyway, as Stanley said, a goal would greatly boost of morale. And even though we drew the match, we could tell that everyone was in better spirits. I guess we all went home, had a good rest and tried not to think about the losses.

Something random:

I think Jolene‘s going to kill me for posting such an unglam photo of her 😛

Anyway, my package finally came! 😀

It was Soffie sis’ surprise celebration on Thursday.

We had dinner at this really fancy place called Giraffe. Surprisingly, I could not find a single main course on the menu that made me interested. Somehow, if I liked something, there is always some other weird combination to not make me what that item after all 😐

I was pretty tempted to get the lasagne but it had beef (Soffie got it and let me have some. A definite to kill for!) so I settled for some Japanese-Korean glass noodles with mushrooms. The serving was not large but I could barely finish up the last few forkfuls because the meal made me feel rather full with the amount of oil and gravy. (Which makes me wonder why Perrine did not feel the same way since we had the same thing.)

I feel really silly for letting slip about saving my stomach for the cake. It was meant to be a surprise! Arg!

But the cake was really lovely. Home-baked chocolate banana cake. Kudos to Amanda’s godmother!

Elisia did her usual here’s-what-I-got-for-you-in-one-of-my-overseas-trip thingy and gave us Milky Way bars, Ice Cream Skittles (Limited Edition), cherry-flavoured Hershey’s kisses and Starbursts (my favourites!)

Felt rather detached somehow but I guess everyone had their fun 🙂

And, yeah, everyone commented on how black I’m becoming. Hell, I’m even darker than Soffie right now!

First day of e-Learning week and I spent the day sleeping at home. Cough syrup is a great replacement for sleeping pills. e-Learning sucks, by the way. I would rather go school than have another 101 assignments dumped at me. Rawr.

It has been three weeks since school started and I am already lagging behind in schoolwork.

Just. Great.

School can be summarised in one word: bo-ring.

The only thing that makes me attempt to wake up and drag my tired body to school is the fact that trainings are fun thanks to the junior girls.

We’ve been doing land trainings most of the time since water training was nothing much last Saturday. So everyone was excited when we were finally going to start the polo session this Saturday.

I have been waiting all week for today. And no thanks to my best friend, I am unable to go into the water 😥

Sometimes I hate being a girl.

Edit: Dangit. I woke up this morning with a swollen eye. Thankyouverymuchgodsofswolleneyes.
