It’s December! That means a lot of things. Like 24 more days to Christmas, one month to the new year, 10 days to my mom’s birthday and today’s my dad’s birthday!

Happy Birthday to my awesome dad! ๐Ÿ˜€

And that means this domain is 6 years old! ๐Ÿ™‚ Wow. It has been a really long time…

Firstly, Happy 24th Birthday CJ! ๐Ÿ˜€ Now, aren’t you a proud business woman in the food industry before you hit 24? ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m going to blog about Saturday’s dinner. Guan and I headed to Bugis Junction with Zayden Asher to try out this new eatery called LENAS.

I found out about the soft launch of LENAS from an e-newsletter that MOF had sent me. Since they had a 1-for-1 pizza/pasta deal, why not give it a try? ๐Ÿ˜‰

The place was wooden—almost literally. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, what struck me was the smell of wood. The table was made of wood, the chairs were made of wood, even a push-trolley at the side was made of wood. And it wasn’t those furniture that has a smooth finish. It’s like, fresh-out-of-the-workshop-kind. I didn’t manage to take any photos of the restaurant but you can have a look here.

(Don’t mind the poor photos. It’s quite hard to get good light without using flash.)

Iced Mint and Lime Tea
Guan ordered their signature drink—Iced Mint and Lime Tea.

It’s not too bad. And since I was a member at MOF, we had Crisp Parmesan Fries.

Crisp Parmesan Fries

Guan ordered a Pepperoni pizza while I had a Hawaiian. And… guess what? They served them on wooden boards!

The pizzas were pretty good. My pizza crust was a bit too burnt but it was still edible. Zayden made it rather hard for Guan to enjoy his meal though. He kept fussing and wanted to be carried and walked around. I had to cut his (Guan’s not Zayden’s) pizza into bite-size pieces and feed him while he had his hands full with Zayden.

Not one of my best shots but oh well ๐Ÿ™‚

Zayden was still fussing after dinner. So instead of putting him in the stroller, I had to carry him back to the car.

Anyway, yesterday, we dinnered at Astons Specialties and we let Zayden have a go with the fork.

And… I’m not going back to Astons anymore because, nearby, Everything with Fries is much nicer ๐Ÿ˜‰

So the 7ners celebrated our October babies’ birthdays on Saturday at Oriole. It was the first time in a really long while that we met up on a weekend because back then someone was either busy with her significant other or with work or just isn’t free. It was also the first time in a rather long while that we ended up cam-whoring outside the cafe and bar ๐Ÿ˜•

Dinner was rather fair. The food tasted good but the portions were rather small for the price we paid. But the chocolate cake was a to-die-for. It was made with really rich and good quality chocolate and if I wasn’t on a budget, I would have ordered another just for myself so I could relish every single bite ๐Ÿ˜†

As I mentioned that the food portions were small, dinner ended pretty early so we just sat, chilled and talked. And before we went our separate ways…

While having our “photo-shoot” (teehee), I was reminded of how we used to take a group photo on our own and suggested attempting that neoprint shot again ๐Ÿ˜€

These were taken by someone back in 2004:

(I just realized… Boss, did you take them?)

And by my hand of Thor:

(Okay, I know I’m using the above term wrongly but what does it mean anyway? I tried Googling and nothing relevant came up.)

Saturday’s attempt:

YES! Success! ๐Ÿ˜€

We also did the all-those-in-pants-take-a-picture and all-those-in-dresses-take-a-picture.

To the second October kid of the 7ners: Happy 24th Birthday Soffie Sis! Hope that you had an awesome day with your loved ones! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s been a really long time and I’m glad that I’ve got you in this clique as well as the companionship of heading to hip hop gigs back in our late teens ๐Ÿ˜† Love!

And, last but not least, (I’ll bet) the real reason why everyone bothered to read this entry is for this cutesy photo of Zayden Asher ๐Ÿ˜† and awesome Guan ๐Ÿ˜€

Can someone tell me what “by the hand of Thor” means? ๐Ÿ™„

Firstly, Happy 24th Birthday Pei Wen! I’m sure you had awesome gifts. If not, wait till Saturday for your awesome gift and celebration! ๐Ÿ˜†

Sunday was a pretty awesome day because friends and relatives finally got to meet Zayden Asher! ๐Ÿ˜€

He was a sociable baby, not crying while he was being passed from a pair of arms to another. He wasn’t the only baby there though. I finally got to meet Cheyenne! Though she was exactly a month older than Zayden, the difference in their sizes was quite big. Plus, she has these huge pretty eyes. They were bigger than bambi-eyes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

As I was busy running between groups of friends and relatives, I did not manage to take much photos ๐Ÿ™

Everyone said Zayden was really cute. Guan and I couldn’t agree any less ๐Ÿ˜† Since it was a special occasion, he was wearing his new Threadless onesie, (I love this design but my size ran out of stock.) and Guan and I wore our Missing!!! tee.

Ooh, yes! My mother bought cakes! She wasn’t in time to order a huge cake for everyone and, instead, bought three small cakes ๐Ÿ˜€

After every guest had left, everyone was quite tired. I mean, my siblings KO-ed in the living room:

Ending this post with an awesome photo (courtesy of Pauleon):

I am growing to be a rather lazy blogger. I’m sorry! But my excuse is that I take forever to edit photos and blog them properly in a post. If I feel like I don’t spend a good hour on a post (with photos), I feel like I blogged in a rather half-assed manner ๐Ÿ˜•

My dad is super hilarious. He went to KL and Genting with my mom and asked to borrow my Sony digital camera. When they arrived home last night (after four days), I found only 51 photos taken! To think I cleared almost 500 photos (that’s about 1GB) for him

As Mother’s Day is this Sunday, I’d like to wish my mummy dearest a Happy Mother’s Day!

My mom
I found her expression rather comical ๐Ÿ˜†

Guan turned a grand 21 last Saturday. I had to wake the poor boy up rather early since we did not really have much time as it’s the betrothal day as well.

So it was Jo’s 24th birthday and we celebrated at Spageddies. This year for her, we didn’t get a cake so we could invest more on the present ๐Ÿ˜‰

The food was disappointing and it would probably be the last time I ever dine there. Then again, the first and last time I dined there before Friday was almost a good five years ago. A lot has changed.

Saturday was spent lazing around and watching the first season of Prison Break again.

On Sunday, Guan and I went to Funan DigitaLife Mall to get my DVD fixed. Apparently there’s something on my discs but I have no idea what ๐Ÿ˜• And when we asked around, apparently, no one in the IT mall knew what the hell was wrong with my precious DVD ๐Ÿ™

After that, he spotted this 1TB harddrive that came with a free speaker that he wanted some time ago (the speaker, that is. The harddrive was something he wanted a couple of weeks ago after his iMac was running out of space). And since I just received some money thanks to the government, we splurged on it at one go. So now I’m a poor girl ๐Ÿ˜•

Anyway, we were at the bookstore and I saw awesome cookbooks so for the past couple of days, I have been going through food and baking blogs and now I just feel like hitting the kitchen and making a mess in it. The problem is that I don’t have an oven. The microwave died like a few months back ๐Ÿ™

And I gave up finding an admin job. Decided to go with the boring bar job. There has been some issues but I guess I’m just making waves wherever I go. I can never get along with the management. Seriously ๐Ÿ˜›
